TEACHING POSITION 2024


At Heretaunga Intermediate, we are looking for good people who can build strong relationships with our diverse range of students to join our enthusiastic team. This year we are continuing to work on developing new vision and values, linking this to our PB4L mahi and delivering it through the curriculum. We are all about creating an amazing intermediate experience for our students.

We are looking for a quality teacher to join our supportive team who is not afraid of hard work.  We offer generous release above CRT entitlement through the technology programme that our students attend. 

The ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of students is important to us.

Applicants ideally will need to have experience in New Zealand schools and ideally classroom experience at upper primary/intermediate level. Ideally we are looking for an experienced teacher however, we will consider beginning teachers with proven skills in behaviour management.

Applications close on Monday 8th April 12pm. This teaching position will take over a class in Term Three for a teacher going on leave but we welcome you to start earlier if you are able to. We have some flexibility and would love to prioritise a smooth transition for you and our students. If unsure about this, talk with us!

TEACHER AIDE POSITIONS

We are looking for awesome people to join us as a Teacher Aide.  We need people who are going to connect with our kids. Is this you?

We are on the search for a special person/people to fill this very important position. We are looking for a Teacher Aide who can assist students with their learning, be calm and caring for students with learning, behavioural and pastoral needs. The successful applicant will need to enjoy working with children, staff and whānau within a supportive environment. 

This role is 30 hours a week during school term time.  Remuneration is in accordance with the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement, in accordance with the job description. Details of the role will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
