MUSIC
For enthusiastic students, opportunities are available for School Orchestra, the Rock Band and being part of a choir. Instrumental tuition is offered in Drums, Guitar, Violin, Brass, Saxophone, Flute and Clarinet.
PASIFIKA
A vibrant group who meet weekly to learn songs and dance appropriate to the Pasifika culture. They have a professional tutor and regularly perform at school and public events. The attire worn at performances is blue and white, reflecting a strong and proud group of students.
CHOIR
The number of choirs and the focus for each choir varies from year to year depending on the number of students and their vocal talent. They meet on a weekly bases to learn choral and performance skills. Regular performances are in front of the school and at special events. Students must pass an audition to be part of these choirs.
KAPA HAKA
This group meets once a week with Whaea Kerri. They learn waiata, dance and performance skills. They regularly perform to the school and at public events and represent the school with pride in the Kapa Haka uniform which is black and blue. There are opportunities for students to lead in this area including playing the guitar and taking a lead role in school wide performances.
